Haritaki is called the “king of medicines” in Tibet and is usually listed first in Ayurvedic Materia Medicas because of its extraordinary powers of healing. In Ayurveda it is considered to destroy all diseases and eliminate all wastes (toxins or Ama) from the body. Haritaki is one of the three ingredients in the Ayurvedic super formula Triphala.
